Armagnac
These South West of France spirits are distilled and bottled by Dartigalongue et fils, Leopold Carrere, Papolle or Delord, all household names in Armagnac. Their Brandies are distilled exclusively from grapes grown in the Armagnac region, distilled in general once as opposed to the double distillation in Cognac.

Cognac V Brandy
These French brandies are then aged to perfection in oak casks after which they are transferred to demi-johns and are only bottled prior to shipping. With more character than Cognac, they are often appreciated by single malt connoisseurs.Armagnac is the oldest French brandy and dates from the middle of the 15th century with the first stills probably brought over the Pyrenees by the Moors earlier on. Old Vintage Armagnacs are gift packed and make great presents for special birthdays or anniversaries. 40 year old, 50 years old, 60-year-old and 70-year-old brandies are very rare and ageing will bring under control the fiery qualities of the spirit.
After all, this is Dartagnan and the Three Mousquetaires country! The distinctive flavour of a 40-year-old, a 50-year-old, a 60-year-old or a 70-year-old brandy is made for sharing at the end of a meal when subtlety and character can best be appreciated. 1957 and 1967 are presently our most popular years but relatively few bottles are available worldwide. 40% volume, 70cl bottles in most cases and gift packed.
